Hello, I'm from the States and someone named Kurqueen suggested I post my question over here with you fine folks, sure someone can assist me.

I have an English friend who will be looking for lessons in the Hampshire area of England. He's taking four or five with me the next couple days, and I want to send him home with a connection to future lessons. He's in his early 60's, VERY fit, well-balanced and VERY committed. He's working on a future project that will involve lots of riding, and he figured he better learn. Good, solid basics are what he needs, horsemanship as well as riding. What say you?

Quob is in Durley, near Southampton. I had lessons there for a year and it was quite good, however it's a very very busy commercial yard and expensive.

Pinkmead farm is close to Quob, in the same area. I havn't been there but heard it is equally as good

I second Quob as we use them/their horses for our BUSA comps and all the horses seem to be very well behaved.

Crofton Manor and Pinkmead are also EC's in the area, but I have only competed there on my own ponio, so can't comment on the horses there!

Hampshire is quite big and in some parts quite rural. Probably the size of LA. If you have any idea of where your friend might be based it might be easier for us.

Yes, I was afraid of that. Can't remember, but have it posted on the other board. As soon as my "regular" on-line home comes back on-line, I'll get that information. Thanks.
