My trainer gets regular lessons on an equisimulator and he swears by them. He says it keeps his feel for the upper level movements sharp as he doesn't currently have a GP horse in training.
However, he does them somewhere up north, far too far away for me to get to. He has convinced me that it would be a great thing to do and one of my resolutions while my horse is off is to work on my seat. Has anyone had such lessons and what do you think of them? Does it really work? Would I be better off having lessons on a decent schoolmaster? Also, is there anywhere within reasonable driving distance of Oxford where you can have such lessons?
