I'm looking for somewhere to go for a few lessons on a classically trained schoolmaster. Can anyone recommend anywhere. I'm in the Midlands but willing to travel.

Thanks.

Dovecote in Worcs, google it, it is fab - can't recommend it enough. I looked at Talland and would love a lesson there but it was too far from the Midlands (where I am) to go regularly.

little_critter - I've heard of Claire Lilley - I'll have a look at her website - thanks.

minigal - Yes Dovecote is one I've got bookmarked. I do agree - it looks fab.

Sam, who runs Dovecote, used to train me years ago and I loved him, and have remained friends with him and his partner. Having not seen him for a few years (and not ridden for a long long time either) I went up earlier this year for a 2 day clinic and it WAS AMAZING!!! The horses are utterly fabulous, especially Solo (who is the horse in my avatar) and you will learn and absolute stack. Be prepared to work hard, but I HIGHLY recommend it. Sam is very intuitive, responsive and realistic.
