Hi all,
Fred; my ex-racer is coming along nicely but I'd like to have some lessons on a schoolmaster or reliable but forward going horse in the Yeovil/Somerset area.
I'd like to brush up on my flatwork (not knowing one end of a school from another...gallops don't have letters!) and learn to jump properly on a well trained horse without the worry of constant run outs without a lead or having to nurse Fred past every spooky object until he gains confidence in his new career.
I'm currently only hacking him out whilst the school at my new yard is built so it would be great to learn a few things I can then teach Fred, especially the feel of proper contact on a well schooled horse.
Any recommendations would be gratefully received. One note though...I weigh 10 stone and am 5'7 and am used to riding race horses rather than riding school plods (nothing wrong with the latter.)
Thanks in advance.
