Sunday afternoon musings to distract me from housework, slightly inspired by the 'just a horse' poem.
I've learned so much from the horses in my life both in terms of riding and life lessons:
- my first pony, B - that laughing is more important than winning...and that if you tip forward when cantering without a saddle and the pony bucks you WILL fall off! That one took a few lessons
- my horse, D - that if you aren't getting the answers you want then you need to rethink the question.
- my friend's cob, F - that 'kind hearts are more than coronets, and simple faith than Norman blood'...and that the quietest horse will still panic and run with the right provocation.
What have the horses in your life taught you?
