Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...

2"/5cm here north of Sheffield ,nothing getting up our road except 4x4 ,snowing hard, forecast says we have another 3 hours of it yet .Glad I have a 4x4 for the 5-15am run to the horses then another 5 miles to give hay to FIL horses that are turned out for the winter .

Started here around 4.30-5pm, light dusting at first, then went bonkers. We have at least a good 6 inches outside now.. It's definitely a winter wonderland but I'd rather it wasn't! We're in Wales.
Spent the last week in bed with flu and now have pneumonia, just starting to feel stronger (having spent most of Christmas day and today in bed again)... but not sure how I'm going to go about tackling it tomorrow!!

I've jus driven up from Heathrow. It was hissing it down until Birmingham area, then got quite snowy and a bit dodgy on the M6 around Stafford until Cheshire. Snowed a bit until just past the airport at Manchester, cleared completely past Stockport and Ashton, then loads of snow as I got up into the Pennines. I managed to nearly hit a roadsign when I had a moment spinning around, but just missed it (was only in second gear!). Had to abandon the car up the lane from home and ring hubby to come out with some wellies as I was in court shoes!

I am at mum and dads in Notts. Been snowing steadily since about 6pm. Did go to bed, but have a raging earache and can't sleep, so got up again. Whilst in bed, could hear a car struggling to get out. Think they gave up in the end.

Wow,it is white here in Doncaster, and that is unusual for us as we are only 12ft above sea level, so I canonly presume a lot of you are under a white blanket. Maybe a snow photo thread today???

We usually get a lot of snow here (I'm on lancs/yorkshire border between Pendle hill and the yorkshire dales) but we have nothing in my village - it's just frosty and, as it's been VERY wet lately, I am sure that will make for a fun drive to the yard

I am GUTTED, WELL AND TRULEY GUTTED nothing but the most disgusting, cold, nasty, craaappy awful, BORING blasted rain in Sussex, rain, rain, rain, rain, and more sodding horrible, wet cold and NASTY yukky, awful rain.......BORING BORING SOUTH COAST. Next year I'm going away for a proper SNOWY xmas, and leaving this BORING place behind, believe me there is NOTHING festive about Sussex.

Christmas Day here was sunny and absolutely beautiful, Boxing day was a bit dull but didn't rain until late afternoon and today is cold, crisp and beautifully sunny.

There is nothing boring about being able to get to the yard, ride my horse and turn him out in a nice grassy paddock in the sunshine.

Yay for Sunny Sussex!

Just a small covering here...

I think it will be all melted by this evening.
