Finally I have some money to begin the hunt for a saddle that actually fits pest and is comfy for me, and I'm totally at a loss where to start! He's a pain to fit saddles for, with high withers, a wide spine, big shoulders and very broad, and always changing shape, and we do a bit of everything too, and found a jumping saddle was not great for showing and did my position no favours, but straighter cut saddle a nightmare for jumping in!

We seem to have a real problem finding good saddle fitters around here, which doesn't fill me with confidence (based Canterbury). Tempted to try Wow as they are so local to us, but then may be more sensible for the money to get a nice second hand dressage/showing saddle and a nice jumping saddle? What would you do? I know Flash's saddle saga is an ongoing nightmare, but before we've had huge money restrictions (I had none

). Had enough trouble finding a saddle that fits let alone 2, but how difficult/quick is it to change flaps on a Wow??

Hi, I have just gone through exactly the same and I ended up getting a Sue Carson show saddle - the one with Flair. I can't recommend it enough. My boy keeps changing shape so Sue or whoever represents your area just inflates or deflates to your new needs. Plus she has sorted MY twisted pelvis by pumping one of the top airbags to push my pelvis straight and my chiro was amazed last Saturday when I went for a check up!! My boy loves it too he moves loads more freely. The only down side is the cost just over 2k with girth and leathers but it has been the best 2k I've spent as it will last him a lifetime. Anyway, that's my input! Good luck!! x.

I have got two WOW saddles and I love them both. I would definitely recommend them, I amm just trying to work out if I can stretch to buying my 3 year old one when I start her later this summer as they are so fab

Hi there I used to be based in Canterbury (many years ago) an dI used John who used to own Wealdon Saddlery in Wincheap. Even after the shop closed he still did fittings, sorry I'm a bit crap and can't remember his last name! Haven't had a wow so can't really comment. The other option is Frogpool Manor or Willow Farm. Both a bit of a treck but if you go to them you can try all their saddles! Willow Farm are a bit funny about jumping in the indoor though. Good luck I'm sure you'll find something perfect

Most people from our yard get Frogpool to fit for them - I think they travel to us.
I use Clive Bending for re-flocking. He has a saddlery near Maidstone so he does sell saddles too.
Personally WOW were very poor in their customer service to me years ago, so I steer clear.

it's a bit of a mine field really isn't it?! Will have a look at the frogpool website and see what sort of selection they have. I've read some people on here having problems with horses with sore backs with Wow, and that worries me as it's not something that would show up straight away, and they're so expensive, but then again, that could happen with any saddle
