Just a big, smiley, happy post really.. there is a LOT of posts that are negative about loaning, and i agree, it can go (very) badly, but i am so proud to say, my one in a million pony has found just the best home ever, i couldnt thank them enough.
Bit of background- i had frankie given to me as an 10 month old untouched colt- que bolshy, bargy idiot of a pony... roll on 6 years later and he is just the best pony i have ever had the pleasure of riding/owning, 99% bombproof, beautiful flatwork, cracking jump and bold with it too, fabulous to hunt etc.. but unfortunately i had to come to the decision that he was just too small, although 14.1, he is very fine, so kept an eye out sneakily if anyone we knew was on the lookout for a pony- and he went to a lovely family in september last year- since then, they have gone from strength to strength, he is out hunting every week nearly, doing pony club and having so much fun, this is everything my gorgeous pony could have asked for and more, he looks to be having so much fun! so just a big thankyou to his wonderful family for making such a hard decision, one that i am glad i made
they have gone from strength to strength together, and her confidence seems to have grown with him-- this is them hunting at the weekend, i nearly cried looking at this photo <3

i'd love to hear of anyone else's fantastic loaners, and we can all show appreciation for them
