lol it must be a rose thing as all though my mare can be hot headed i put my 2 year old son on her and she goes like a plod. She sounds like an absolute babe!its very hard now these days to find an honest horse, there like gold dust,i hope that you have many more enjoyable years with her as she sounds perfect.

Ok here are mine, they're pretty much all hairy except when they've been attacked with clippers!

[Content removed] - you really can't appreciate the depth and density of his coat here. I swear when I clip him it's going to come off in one big piece like a sheep!

[Content removed] - had to give her a helping hand with her coat this year as it just wasn't coming out and she was overheating. (I rug her at night).

[Content removed] - moults quite nicely but still always going to be a hairy one!

and [Content removed] - I remember a time before the others when I used to think he was soooo hairy! Oh and I just thought i'd share this one of his ample behind!

This is Dolly. First time she has been a hairy in the 7 years I have owned her. She was all clipped out when I first got her.

Mac. Not as hairy as Doll, although the mane is just an unruly mop that I get fed up with every now and then and hog him.

Am loving all those hairies and not so hairies, especially all those gorgeous black cobs!!!!!! I am proud to say I own the most handsom black cob in the world (well, I think so), he is 14.3hh 17 years old and as handsome as hell. I do love the hairy look and have been tempted to let it all hang out and grow, but he looks so handsome, clipped, hogged and trimmed. Oh, did I say he was handsome .......

Yes, they take the piss out of me on our yard as well.

I reckon we should have a black cob march at yours by the sounds of it with all the hair hanging out especially with my lad!Maybe cobby looking but the extra action of a friesian!!!and boy can he move he would put most horses to shame in the dressage arena, lol, with all his hair hanging out and going around like a stallion, lol, was long reining him the other day and was still prancing around to show me how its done, love him to bits and he makes me chuckle.

Well, here is my boy, not looking his most hairy I do say but the best i could find on works computer. Think this was also the year that his hair got seriously sun-bleached. He is black, honest!

Haha, thanks, when i got my dream black friesian I decided that I wanted a black briddle with white padding. You would think they were pretty easy to find but it wasnt. Found either really cheapy looking ones or the one i ended up getting, an expensive stubben one that I had to get the tack shop to order esp for me. The briddle cost nearly as much as my saddle (wintec, lol) but i love it.

Here's one of my hairy Highlands jumping, she's 20, and can do it with her eyes shut, my teenage helpers were asked to exagerate their jumping position by the instructor!!!
