After 8 months of growing out my cobs hogged mane, it is now lying flattish and he is no longer an embarrassment to take out in public :p I'm very excited to see what it does next and how long it will get!

So, let's see your horses' manes! The long, the short, thick, thin and hogged!

He has a bit of a L'Oreal thing going on - very easy to keep it this way, I only brush it every few weeks and it doesn't get any products on it...
ETA - funny thing - I've had him 7 years, never cut or trimmed - and that's the longest his forelock ever gets!
 
Wow, Antw23uk - I love that plait!

I've tried to do that (although obviously there's rather a lot more mane to fiddle with), but my fingers cramp up before I've done more than two or three inches. That looks amazing!
 
Reg's mane is an embarrassment! He's got a county show in less than a month and there's a 4" section missing from his mane where his winter rugs rubbed it... No idea how I'm going to salvage it!

It lies nice and flat when he's not moving, but as soon as he works it's bolt upright!
 
Looks better when washed and have to plait his forelock when hacking otherwise he spooks at everything but it's a brilliant fly mask!

Hi CobsGalore, I put it down to feeding Formula 4 Feet. It's grown ridiculously since he's been having it.

Ha ha, never noticed the shape of his chest markings!!
 
Most are bog standard ordinary, black, red or blonde, a few are a bit better though.
