Here are my two, Honey is 7 and Cyril is 7 months. He's the first boy dog i've ever had and has definitely been more challenging although he is still pretty good. Honey is very placid in the house and i've realised now she is probably more show lines although she is very athletic so always thought she was working but they are very different. He is all working lines.

This is the lab I grew up with. She reached the grand age of 15, with a dodgy heart and hip dysplasia, tolerated all sorts of antics by us kids that would horrify me now and broke my heart when she went, I was on the look out for another lab when fate sent me in a fluffy spaniel direction.

Mine is 2 years old, and she's a bit on the smaller side. She can be a bit clueless about some things, but is overall very trainable and loves water. I don't know how any of you have more than one. The shedding!

Great pics she is lovely, Honey is only diddly Cyril is already taller than her. I love that they come in all different shapes and sizes. Oh and yes the shedding we won't talk about that

Toast and Freya

Rex, Toasts son

Freya as a pup

One of these puppies is my daughters black girl, these pups are 2 litters, not bred by me, both are closely related to Toast.

Bruce, Toasts brother enjoying the mountains (daughters dog)

Toasts first day at work.

Wow so much gorgeousness, it's hard to see past a Labrador, i'd have one in every shade of colour if I could

Realised i've missed out another important family member. Willow is actually my MIL's but has spent a lot of time with us as we bought her as a pup for MIL on the proviso that we would always look after her and she'd come to us if ever the need arises. She is only 3 months younger than Honey and they adore each other. Not seen so much of her over the last couple of years due to Covid and she was not impressed on the arrival of Cyril :p

This is our gorgeous 2 year old girl Chili who my Husband has trained for Search and Rescue. She has been qualified for almost a year and is working towards her level 3 which is their last and final level. She loves her job and we love her!! She is our first Lab but most definitely will not be our last!

Oh what a clever girl, they are very special, Honey is my first pure Lab, previously had crosses and the connection is something else.

Olive and Mabel spring to mind. It’s a dogs life. I only have a lanky lurcher who doesn’t even beg for food. Not a proper dog ?
Ha ha we have a lurcher too, she has been great at keeping Honey slim and fit with all the racing around and has been great with Cyril but now he is bigger and stronger he has had her over a couple of times. She is 14 now but still likes to do zoomies in the morning round the field.

I am commonly known around here as the mother of all labradors... at one stage we had 4.5 labs. I lost Chui at 13.

They say a lab is born half trained, and a spaniel dies half trained. The above has no hope...

Well apart from that he’s bloody gorgeous, looks like that will get him far in life with minimal effort or good behaviour ??

Oh the eyes on Chui just melting. My neighbour (who has Spaniels) told us that quote, I hadn't heard it before but it makes so much sense. My stepsons spaniel who is a sweetie is much harder to train than the labs. Honey seems to have been here before as just does things as if she reads my mind and when I decided to teach Cyril to sit, after a week to settle in, I took him outside said sit, he sat and that was that and he has continued very much in that vein.
