Levels of Entries at events?

Its mad in the SW I hardly ever see balloting and two events which have never balloted before B&W and Aldon have done so this year? Why do you think this is?

I cannot decide if it is pros who have more horses than ever or that BE membership has really swelled and that there are not enough events?

Put it this way I will be very cross if I do not!! I did stick a sticker on though but never normally use my March one!

As I was at work yesterday I counted up entries there were 307 in PN and about 280 in Novice. On a summers day around 280 - 300 can run in a day so if you knock off 20 for still being winter guess Aldon can get 260 round in a day as it is fairly long course.

I'd wondered about that too - seem to be mega entries at everything. Possibly knock on effect of last season - people ended early because of stuff being cancelled with F&M. Last year April and MAy were hard and then everyhting got cancelled because of the wet. Those that don't normally start on March may have found ways to get themselves and horses up and running earlier this year in case it goes the same way again - please say it can't !

That's what I wondered Wiz.....

I stuck my sticker on for Aldon too so hopefully will be ok. They were supposed to ballot on Friday and the website is still saying 'will ballot'!

I want to know!
