Can you please recommend a harness or a lead /collar combo that a greyhound cannot slip?
Am having a lively debate with a complete dick on the local fb page who is defending the owner of two rescue greyhounds who have now twice slipped their leads and attacked another dog. Thankfully both dogs survived, with vets bills, and the owner of the hounds is very sorry but there is no way of stopping them doing this. Am incandescent! They aren’t even muzzled, not that imo that would make it acceptable anyway.

Fizz wears a ruffwear Webmaster for flyball as she is like a drunk octopus on the start line at times and she can't get out of it. Dobby wears the pets at home version because he's an arse and will chew his harness outside the ring (he does only wear one for catching him, I run him on a collar).

They both wear leather fishtail sighthound collars for walking and again, cannot get out of them despite their best efforts when we see squirrels. Found these after a very quick Google but they're fairly easy to find https://www.fridayfox.co.uk/Celtic-Sighthound-Collar

Fitting a collar properly up their neck just behind their ears at the narrowest point of their neck stops them slipping out of the collar, yes it does need to be tight.
My Maz was a housing dog when I got her, she stills does it if she gets excited and your not on the ball with fitting her collar properly.
My other half hates putting her collar on as he feels it's too tight and he is a working collie and spaniel man so not a dog numpty.

Absolutely NO excuse whatsoever ?? When I got a harness for Millie lurcher the main criteria was that it was escape proof because she is like a little eel..... I was recommended a Dragrattan Multi Sport and she hasn’t got out of it so far (and believe me she has tried far harder than a greyhound would do!)

Sorry a pointless rant now because of course everyone knows this, but this is why greyhounds get a bad name - it makes me SO angry!!! At the very very least muzzle them, they are used to and really don’t care less.

George terrier had ONE episode where to my total horror he attacked another dog (I’ve never seen a dog do an unprovoked attack like that in my life!) - now he is NEVER off the lead unless it’s a secure enclosed field for my personal use, and if it’s likely to be a busy walk he is muzzled when on the lead just in case!

I said it is owners like those who give greys a bad name. Apparently as they were upset and helped to look for the terrier who had run off and hidden in a nearby field they are nice people and it’s ok . Grrr!
I will pass on all the recommendations although I doubt it will do any good. Ty
