Hi Guys

just thought I would update you on lexi our GSD puppy! Well she is 12 weeks today and growing into a lovely if not a little cheeky dog! She is doing well with her training we have taught her sit, lay down, paw, beg, speak, play dead, fetch & wait! She is so loving her training! off to puppy training tomorrow GSD speciality group! cant wait! The toilet training is getting there with just a few wee accidents but they are near the back door so she is getting the hang of it not poo inside for a long time!

She is now friends with my oh's dog so alls good as she will be going there a few days a week when we are working long days! The only thing I have trouble with is her chasing the cats cant seem to get her to not do it unless she is very tired and cant be bothered to get up! I feel srry for the cats as they are indoor ones but the have the whole of upstairs for themselves with a baby gate bat the bottom but as mine are runners & dont stand up for themselves she thinks it is all ok to chase them!

Please help

Thanks

Liz

You could keep her on a little light training line in the house (no loop at the end, so she can't catch on anything) and if she moves to chase them, call her and give her a little tug over to you and distract/reward her with food or a toy.

Sounds like she is getting on great :)
