mine cost me about £1k....but i had a week's intensive course (4 hours a day) and managed to fail twice so probably can be done much cheaper!!

I like the thought of the intensive though....

Mine cost just under £1k too...had a weeks intensive course and passed first time!

i did mine in bolton, near manchester...just have a look in your yellow pages under driving instruction and they'll have a list of places (normally its where truckers go to do their class 1s so i felt very girly but was fun and people were very friendly). when you ring them you are enquiring about either C1 or C category licence- i'd recommend doing the C cat as slightly bigger but test same and means you then able to drive a HGV horsebox....
