I'm trying to weigh up (haha) the cost of an LGV test vs a trailer test...
Can anyone advise? I have large horse (over 600kg) and I would envisage wanting to go out with another horse to most events - hence I think a 3.5t lorry is off the table. You seem to get more "payload" from a 2 x horse trailer than a 3.5t anyway?
I was thinking of maybe a 4.5 or a 5.5 ton lorry, as I don't think I'd need much in the way of living area and wouldn't need to travel 3.
I'm put off a 4 x 4 as I would need a beast to pull a 510 trailer and I have a 35 mile round trip commute to work everyday so fuel economy would be an issue.
Thoughts/opinions/help welcomed!!!
