LGV Training. Made me cry.

OP, slander/libel only happen if the person making the allegation is not telling the truth.

I got my one and only infraction point for telling the truth on here, and I didn't even name anyone :D

I think if there is any chance of this going further, then the OP would be wise not to name the instructor/company at this point.

Oh yes, I would never advise any-one to pre-empt legal action by naming on here.

The comments which suggest that the police have better things to do and that this is not assault irk me somewhat, that is the attitude which allows and has allowed people to get away with bad behaviour for a long time. While I agree that the police are under resourced, that does not, or should not, mean that "minor" crimes should not be dealt with. Where would the line be drawn, assault is only if the skin is broken perhaps (not sure where that would leave people who spit at the police etc), theft maybe should have a lower limit of the monetary value one is allowed to class as a crime? The next question is then who would make those decisions?

Thanks again for all the replies. Everybody has made valid points.

In honesty I didn’t expect to get this many people commenting. It was just an outlet to get it off my chest before having to tell my partner and my friends what had happened.

I have called today and accepted the offer to see what the female instructor is like. Thankfully I got the answer machine - I’m such a wimp. Said to call me when she’s back in work and available.

You are not a wimp... you have spoken out about it so that puts you ahead of most people!
Just spoke to my OH and he has never experienced treatement like that on the many driving courses he has one, including lgv. Agreed it was unacceptable.
Apprantly you are allowed to use physical contact on firearms training, when very unsafe, as in pointing a gun a someone, which in my opinion is fair enough to use drastic physical and verbal contact, though you have to sign a waver before starting the course to say you agree to this.
