Liability question

I think most insurers would want to be informed within 48 hours of the incident, but don't worry if it's outside this timescale, it shouldn't effect the way they deal with it.

If they have a claims line that is open at the weekend you could speak to them tomorrow, but if not try not to worry, just speak to them on Monday. Hopefully they will put your mind at ease, you should find them helpful and friendly, this is what you pay them for!

They could try claim but I doubt they would stand a chance in hell to be honest- were they actually injured (sorry have not read the post in great detail). I would make your insurer's aware so they can make note and they can advise you on your position and what if anything you need to do.

I seriously doubt they could claim against you though so i wouldn't be unduly concerned

Yes, in light of recent cases she probably could take legal action against you.

If possible, please could you point me in the direction of where to find these cases including the outcome. Thanks.

I would ask for this thread to be deleted. Just in case she does decide to do something.

You really don't want to be discussing this on a open forum. Make a new user name up and ask generic questions.

Hope these help... they can be a mine field to navigate and really membership to something like Lexisnexis or westlaw would be easier if you know of any students with an athena login...
