So sad to read that he has died at the very young age of 34 after a battle with depression.

Came to the fore of NH racing after winning the 2009 Grand National on the 100/1 Mon Mome.

My thoughts go to his family and friends, and the wider racing community.

Can't believe this, so sad, he was far too young. I think he had a bad injury not long ago but looked as though he had pulled himself right back up following that. My heart goes out to this loved ones.

So sad.Depression is linked with concussion ,and this is a regular hazard for NH jockeys. Do we as a sport do enough to look after these riders?
