Libby's tack bridles

Hi

Bought one of these at Hickstead today. it's the combination headcollar/bridle with the clip on bit...

But, is there a knack to putting them on? Seriously, anyone have one?

I think its just a case of getting used to them. My horse's old owner used to hate the Libby's bridle I brought cos he just couldn't get used to it not being as rigid as a leather one. I found it slightly odd to begin with, but having recently 'upgraded' to a Lemico synthetic bridle I'm now finding that tricky to put on and missing my lovely soft webbing ones!

Do you have to take the bit off to put it on? And do you undo the noseband and throatlash like normal?

If its the headcollar/bridle combo, you will be fine. The normal click bridles are a nightmare to keep in order!!!

I have one for my 2 year Welshie, I tend to put the headcollar part on and then clip the bit on after I have put a bit of molasses on it for him!!!

I dont have a Libbys bit I do use the Cottage Craft Webbing bridles all the time, great value for around £20, more substantial imo
