Just in case anyone was wondering:
The delightful Skoda Felicia has gone.
Liberty is still in his stable.
I have a lovely Volvo S40 (automatic don't you know darling!) to play with that cost very little (probably would have cost even less if I'd not insisted they took the Skoda off me), so I'm sure I'll find out what's wrong with it sooner or later, other than the fact it has no service history.....
