Hello, I'm hoping there will be a few of you who have libra treeless saddles that can advise me! I'm having trouble finding a tree'd saddle to fit my 4 year old cob (he will be 5 this year) he is very wide, does have withers but only if you look closely for them! He is also still a bit bum high.
So until he grows into himself a bit more, would a treeless suit him? I'm looking at the libra adjustable in particular as I like the built in pads and the adjustability of it, the price is very good as well! I would obviously be investing in a decent pad to make sure there is good spine clearance. I'd like recommendations for pads as well please!

Don't have any experience of libra, but have just bought a synthetic HM flexee (flexible tree) for my bum-high, big-shouldered cob and its amazing, I love it! Feels quite different but in a good way, and the horse goes great in it, more pricey than a libra though I think (about £425 brand new), but in our case, well worth the money.

We have a libra for our pony and i love it,my daughter finds it very comfy and secure and it's improved her riding no end,we have a barefoot pad underneath which provides spine clearance, it can slip a bit but i think a different girth will help that ☺

I hated my Libra, If your pony has withers I think you will have to pad underneath well. I found it just crushed my ponies, then I found out they are designed for people under 10stone ( which I wasn't at the time )

I bought a second hand Barefoot one and its brilliant :)
