Lice and Deosect

Much to my horror I've discovered some lice on my 2 year old filly. My vet recommended Deosect which I applied this morning with a sponge and soaked her whole body. I've been up later this afternoon and had a good look at her coat. I saw a number of dead lice but I saw a few live ones. Should they all be dead now or does the Deosect take time to work? It recommends applying more within 14 days but as I've seen a few crawling around I want to apply some more tomorrow. Has anyone used Deosect to treat lice and was it effective? I'm itching here just thinking about it!

Hi, I've had to use Deosect before when we brought home a crawly pony! My vet at the time recommended treating them once a week. Give them time to come into contact with the treatment and they should die off.

Absolutely, give them time to die!!
Remember to do the pony again in one and two weeks time to kill off the ones that hatch since.
