Well, I thought the spooky pony had dandruff, but then the little flakes started to crawl around, and I thought, "dandruff doesn't usually have little feet??"

So: what do you all use to treat lice? Powders, shampoos? Which kind do you prefer, and why?

Deosect.

It's brilliant. Kills them dead with one spray. One bottle will last you for years too. It dilutes something like 1:100.

Don't waste your time with louse powder, or shampoo, just get this, and give him a quick spray over, and that will be job done. I would advise repeating after about 10 days in case any of the eggs survive to hatching, but I never found a live one after one spray on mine.

I use the lice shampoo, then use the organic powder after to be sure. For bad cases, I clip as well so I can see the little blighters and the powder can get to them!

My pony recently had Lice - horrible things!!

I used Coopers...worked a treat! Killed all the little bu***rs!

He was left with a few baldy patches bless him so I've ordered some Microtek Spray (which arrived today so watch this space!) which is meant to help his skin and encourage the hair to grow back and condition his coat.
