Well thanks to everyone for the support on previous threads, finally things are sorted (for now at least!) and hopefully things will be a little more straight forward from here.

Yesterday was a busy night, after finishing the yard we took Major to his field, which he is sharing with another ex-racehorse, although this one is a little more suited to living out! I did take the camera up with me today, but forgot the memory card and can't find the find the cable so the few i did take i can't get on the computer anyway! But just so he wasn't left out i took a photo of the photo on the camera so it's bad quality!

This is today after 1 day out, poor boy it's not stopped raining since he went out!

We then went straight from there to where Saph was, and picked her up at about 7.30 last night. She was very good bless her, loading in the dark! Travelled well and strolled onto our yard like nothing had happened. I will just say that i feel awful at what she's been through the past few months, i feel totally responsible even though it was really out of my control.

She is so poor, she isn't the same horse in body i brought her out to groom her today and just felt dreadful at how she's ended up. I haven't uploaded a single photo to Facebook for fear of what people will say. I've wormed her today, she's now coming in at night (was out 24/7) and is having a lot of hay over night and a good feed. I'm hoping she'll pick up quite quickly, but i've got a lot of work to do, i don't know how she's been worked but her neck is so upside down. I owe it to her though, to get her right so i'm trying!

Here she is today, i hope to show some improvement in the weeks to come :)

I weigh tapped her at 471 today, which wasn't as bad as i expected actually. I think the lack of neck makes it look worse. Here she was before she left...

She's not that bad! I'd prefer lean to lardy and think she was a tad chubby in the before pic! Don't overdo the feeding, just good, ad-lib forage and some vits or a handful of balancer and she'll soon be a picture of health :)

The pictures make her look better than she is, yes she was a tad chubby in that photo but that's from when i got her (i don't have a side on one after i'd worked her for a bit) however she's far too lean now. More so her muscles are just in totally the wrong places, her neck is totally upside down. I'm not over doing the feeding i don't think, but she is fed a lot purely as she can't have tons of hay due to her health problem. She's on a multivitamin too so hopefully she'll start to pick back up soon, because currently there's nothing to turn into muscle!
