I thought i'd update you all on the situation as you were all so helpful.

I am going to turn Major away for the winter, he's been in work a year since i re-started him, he's only 6 and to be honest i think he could do with a break. We went hunting last weekend for the first time and he was super, so that's a good note to end on i think.

And because he is going off to have a break that means Saph can come to work/home. My plan is to work her for the winter and see how we go, at least come spring the weather will be getting better and the days longer. However currently there is no way i'll have the time or indeed energy to keep 2 horses at 2 separate yards both in work.

I went to see her on Sunday and she was really good, popped her over a few fences too and she's absolutely fab. We'll see if she starts rearing once she's in work with me. She seemed quite dull and has lost weight but it's to be expected to an extent.

I'm so glad that you're having her back. I'm sure that Major will love his holiday. Please give us some updates of Sapphire's progress, she doesn't look the same horse at the moment (I'm sure you'll sort it no trouble though ).

agree with above, she looks a completely different horse. I think she has maybe been struggling to eat for a while atleast since youve not had her?? Maybe the lumps are causing issues there and thats the weightloss?

Must have missed last thread! Glad to know what's going on, I wouldn't recognise her in that last photo. Hope she comes to you and all is resolved! What a time of it eh!? Sure major will enjoy a Christmas holiday though!

Oh poor Saph, if I could have another I would take her. She is the spitting image of my late mare it's really quite spooky.
Hopefully she will pick up with you and find the right home xx
