Just received email from my Ma telling me that from Thursday Lidl are selling horse fleeces for £4.99 and saddle mats for £2.99.

Look like they are one size (horse) as fleece is 200cm which is about 6'6" but at that price who cares (I'm not a snob any more ;)) you can put a dart or two in them to fit!

Bring it on although the fleece will purely be hidden by other rugs ... not sure having 'champion' written over it is ideal for my mare .... Actually scrap that .. She is a Champion and she is all mine mine mine mine mine :p
 
Excellent my dad loves lidl bargains I'm sure I can convince him to find me a fleece! I have been looking for a cheap one for a while just for when I get caught with a wet horse and don't want to put rug on!
 
Oh, fab. Might be dragging hubby into Lidl next time we go past then :)

The fleece will be a bit too big for the little'un though, wonder if I can shrink it in the wash ;);)
 
I would say the saddle pads are Cob/Full. My girl usually has a Cob and it fits lovely. I have both colours. They are really easy to wash and have lasted really well. Here she is wearing it! Excuse the bit!

is this in every lidl?

i always miss these bargains every time as im always working.........!!!! and for once.......i will be off work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, I feel like I have won a prize... Ben is 6'6" :).

Edited to say just seen its 5'9" :(

I gota say I'm really impressed with the quality of it. I prefer the brown over the blue, but thats because Brown suits her more! The rugs come in blue and brown also.
 
I think the continentals measure differently. here we measure breast buckle to end of rug along the side, I think the continental measurement goes from wither to end along the back.
 
Just looked at leaflet and I think the bandages are 200cm....not sure a rug would measure 200 x 15

Will suit me if they are 5' 9 so may give them a try:)
 
I've got the fleece in blue and brown :D, they are snug on Doodle and she is a 5'9" if that helps. I would say they are definitely not any bigger and didn't go near Topaz who is in a 6'3", but not sure if this time round they will be a different size?
 
ah mustnt be the one in northern ireland as got new book the other day and its all retro sweets and food offers this week.
 
According to the diagram shown with it on line the back seem (which is how they meaure in europe) is 135cm which translates to a 6'0. It is the bandages that are 200cm.
