Please go to your local horse shop and buy a fleece or saddle pad from them - before they all end up closing like HMV, Woolworths Jessops etc

Supermarkets dont bother to train staff in specialist products hence the cheap price. Such a shame for local businesses who have done all the courses and certificates in order to best advise us :(
 
TheFox, the rug comes in brown... I have it, bandages an' all! :D
As well as the two saddlepads, one brown and one blue, and there on my 13.1 ponio! Size doesn't matter for £2.99!! Perfect for hacking out, get thick mud and wash brilliant! Saves ruining all these £££ matchy matchy sets!

Oh don't be daft. I've already bought them from my local shop. Was just in today buying a hundred pound rug. This is just another one cos you can never have too many!
 
There's already one of each of the fleeces on eBay at 11.99 plus p&p, to be fair I have been looking for a cheap fleece and couldn't find anything under about 20 quid!

What are the saddle pads actually like? Are they worth buying and would you want to be seen riding in one? Im planning to get 3 and maybe a rug! :)

If you look back through the thread someone has posted a photo of their horse with saddle pad on.

Can't believe some of you sneaky people have already got them a day early!
 
I got the saddle cloth last time they were in, I havent had a problem with it, it has good wither clearance ( and my secd has a decent set on her ) , they dont move, wash well and look smart.

Just picked up two rugs and two saddle cloths. Haven't opened them yet but well impressed. You'd easily pay £15 for a cheap saddle cloth in the saddlers.

Plus there was loads left in the Lidl in Acomb, York!:)
 
I just said to a colleague at work you would easily pay £15 for them too.

Hope the lady that cleared out the stock in bordon is using them and not selling them all on Ebay for profit!

I must admit - I half expected to turn up to my Lidl and see hoards of crazy women with tell tale bits of straw in the hair dashing across the car park :D
 
Braved the ice in East Sussex Lidl car park and nabbed 4 rugs and 4 saddle mats (I do have 2 horses!).

2 people came up to see what I was gleefully chucking in my trolley as they thought they may need whatever it was I was buying :D

Thought they may have a limit on numbers you can buy but they don't - which is a bit wrong as I felt a bit :o buying 4 of each
 
Ive been in this morning and brought one of each colour! ive only got diddies but hoping I can get my sowing kit out on the fleeces :)

I literally ran into the store as soon as i had done the school run, keeping an eye out for anyone horsey looking who was going to steal them all,
they had loads left:D

now to hide them from the other half!
 
I managed to get 3 rugs and 2 numnahs :) regretted not getting a trolley though- i had my 2 yr old under one arm whilst struggling to carry it all to the till lol.. oh and my darling son shouting "MUMMY LOVES BARGAINS" at everyone we walked past haha

Just seen on eBay though there's another seller now with the fleeces on £22 and the saddle pads on £15!! They must have bought the lot from their store as it says there's more than 10 left of each!
 
Why would they have a limit. They want to sell as many as possible. Doubt they care where they go!
I bought 2 rugs as play things for the youngsters. Only stopped at two as currently moving house and no room apart from car for horse storage - boot already full of saddles! Something cheap and lightweight that can stay clean for practise. And one saddlecoth -would have bought more if there were any left as useful and good reviews!

Nowt as stupid as folk willing to part with their money :rolleyes:

I wonder whether they'll sell at those prices this week!?
 
Rah ha I got one in each colour heading my way as phoned my dad (whos a massive lidl fan) and he popped in and got me some :) Plus not being greedy as I have 2 horses as well :)
 
Ahhhh I am at work all day and work too far away from the store to go in lunch time!! Am currently asking around friends and family to go and get me one of each :D
