LIDL Deals 24/1/13

My 5ft9 mare modelling both options. I got the brown for her and blue for my other one but quite like the blue on her.

Urm I got there yesterday morning at 8:01am and bought 16 fleeces and 6 saddlecloths. I pressured they had more in the back but I've since found out I cleared the place out :o
Pony is 5ft and horses are 6"3/6"6. But for that price it's worth it for after baths, travelling, under rugs, DIY exercise rugs. etc. although if someone offered me more money I'd sell some on!!!
 
the lidl stores here had nothing left at tea time on the day the were on sale,i was told they had sold out however there was no prices on display for any of the items so it didn't look as if they'd even had any
 
Limited stock in lidl in small Heath, got 3 saddlecloths and 4 rugs( 2 for me and 2 for friend) but they are not a horsey location and I know they have little stock
 
My dad was kind enough to spend some of his lunch hour driving round Sheffield popping into Lidls.
I now have a saddle pad of each colour (both lovely) and a rug of each colour. Rug is a little on the small side for my 6' 3" mare but will do the job fine for chucking over her when she is wet or muddy. Im going to attempt to make my brown rug into an exercise sheet :)
 
Have bought two of the fleeces which says 135cm which works out at 4 ft something look big tho will be disappointed if they don't fit nice rugs really
 
My dad went into Coventry Lidl today and a member of staff had kept them all out the back for her mates. When he asked if they had any in stock this was the reply, but they let him have a couple.

I've just measured them and they're 5'9 from end to end.

They are not measured as we measure rugs. As Kelly says they are 5ft9.

However my friend has one on her 4ft9 mare and its ok so they have magic fitting properties :D
 
My rug says 200cm with 135 along the centre, I'm hoping for a 6'3 or 6'6 hope they're not going to be too small? Only 2 rugs (didn't realise you got bandages too!) and 2 saddlecloths left and ai got the lot :D
 
Got mine yesterday I have a fine 16hh TB would say rug is 5'9/ small 6'. My guy nor wears 6'/6'3. The saddle cloth looks smaller than full not sure its gunna fit well on my guy under 17" saddle but will see.
 
How much smaller do you think you could 'take' the rug back?? Donkey/s could do with some fleeces for when they are in.... and if they get trashed it wont be too much of a loss...

You could use them to cut out a rug a bit bigger then overlock it round!


Loads at Blackpole @ Worcester, really surprised so got the highland pony lot a couple of raffle prizes for the AGM!
 
I still have some in bags from last years sales when the fleeces/saddle cloths went down to £1 each, my local store does twice yearly sales for all the non food stuff that does not sell from stores around the country. I am not ashamed at £1 each I cleared the store out, the saddle cloths are really very good and I have had one for over 2 years and has been well used and washed lots and has not faded or gone scruffy.
The rugs are all 5ft9in I think they are pretty good too but not as tough as some of the better makes but are still a bargain, and even though I already have some I could not walk past them on thursday and still shoved 3 of each colour on my trolley :D
