I went in today and got a headcollar...fab!! fiits really well and so far G hasnt wriggled out of it.
I was tempted to buy some bandages, just because you never know when you might need them, but waaaaay too big for the vertically challenged one.
I looked at the leadropes. eek what's the deal with them? I couldnt work the clip! If anyone can enlighten me and reassure me that they might actually be safe........ (ie you could release them in an emergency).

i brough 2 headcollars and 2 leadropes cause i figured at 2 pounds each i couldn't care less if he trashed them out in the field. Also brought 2 lunge lines, brilliant buys

I got a headcollar and rope, I thought the clasp on the rope was something of a chines puzzle at first but it seems pretty strong and easy to release in emergency. Just takes getting used to. The headcollars seem to be decent quality but the colours were pretty naff, I got the blue one.

They've got headcollars (1.99) fleeces, summer sheets, leadropes, numnahs, bandages (stable), schooling whips, and lunge reins. Oh, and grooming kits.

Theres nothing wrong with Lidl's whatsoever. Just out of curiousity, what career does your dad have, as what class you are in is defined by your job.

Half of Gloucestershire goes there for cheap serrano ham, smoked salmon amoungst other goodies.

If you are into continental food you cannot beat it (just bought muscle soup and octopus in tomato)

Now the clips on the lead rops are "panic snaps". They are unique in the fact you can open them with weight on them. Recommended for travelling because heaven forbid you trailer / lorry tips over you will be able to quickly release your horse, rather than scratch about for a knife.

Only slight hitch is that if you hold you horse near the headcollar you can open them accidentially!

I have one of their leadropes, took me a while to figure it out, but it's handy once you get the hang of it

I really like their hoof spray and hoof oil as well

the clips on the lead ropes sound like the ones on the bungee strap things i have .otto was connected to the lorry by one of these and the next minute he was half way across the lorry park as he had managed to undo it so now ash wont use it to tie him to the lorry, might still use them inside the lorry though as the worst he can do if he gets looses is take a chunk out of whoever is unfortunate enough to be stood next to him!
