Hi, my dog was poorly this week. Twice to vets. Vet expecting to find something bad, possible operation but turned out to be bad constipation. Have lifetime cover. Was a few hundred and may not claim. Presume I need to disclose this even if I don’t claim?

I would claim, why would you not? Surely the whole point of lifetime cover is that multiple episodes of the same thing *are* covered? Our dog loves eating things he shouldn't and we've had two incidences of vet treatment now, including one claim (i.e. a bill over our excess). He has lifetime insurance and so long as we carry on coughing up the premiums to the same insurance company without a break he continues to be covered for vet treatment relating to eating bad things. I phoned PetPlan to check! But if you are worried you could ask the vet to make sure it's worded in such a way that it's clear the constipation was a one off. I think you're supposed to disclose all sickness whether or not you've claimed for it, but it may come down to the way they word the question on the renewal forms.
