My mare still isn't sound after a diagnosis of arthritis in 2 fetlocks and injections. One leg is fine the other still isn't right, my vet briefly mentioned that it could be ligament damage due to the arthritis possibly and i was wondering if anyone else had encountered this is a similar position just for some info before vet is back out.

Diagnosis, outcome, treatment, any help would be great.

Was first injected November, second lot 3 weeks ago. Not on bute yet, just going with what vet says.

I'd be inclined to speak to the vet about putting it on a low daily dose of Bute (or Danillon preferably). Could offer your horse a much more comfortable long term existence.

Right Will be speaking to him tomorrow anyway so will mention it. I was also thinking of taking her shoes off if poss.

Is it unrealistic to think that she will come sound again? Vet thinks she will but i guess I'm being impatient and thought things would be moving a little bit quicker, she loves to do things even if just fun hacks.
