Possibly (most likely) know a horse with this. Am looking for possible solutions and was wondering if there were any tips? Ideally is there fly mask type things specifically for it?

Thanks

The Crusader Riding Masks are what you're looking for. Excellent quality and safe for all activities. If you look at my sig Daisy was wearing that one the day we went xc schooling. She wasn't light sensitive, jsut had a strong aversion to flies in her ears and wouldn't wear those little wooly hats.

You could try an antihistamine called Periactin - no prescription needed. It is one that in particular reduces the amount of light taken into the eye (not a technically correct description but it says what I mean!). Yes to the Quiet Ride mask too.

I've got a Guardian Mask for Star. She had a Squamous Cell Carcinoma removed from the surface of her eye. The chemo and radiotherapy left it very sensitive to wind. It causes the surface of her eye to dehydrate and go cloudy. Also, the UV protection for her eye can't be anything but good.

I'm in the process of buying some new eyecovers for it.

However, the Crusader mask looks to do the same thing for a fraction of the price.... hmmmmm.
