Has been snowing heavily here since 8.00am and showing no sign of stopping so has put pay to any riding. Why can't the forecasters get it right? They even specifically mentioned Shropshire as one of the few counties that would not get it......!!

How is every one else getting on?

Just come back in from a brilliant ride in the sun & blue skies - not a fleck of snow, sand & pinewoods still got some give in it - and no huge muddy puddles cos they have all dried in the recent frosts :D

Sorry... I just had to mention this, but wont be so smug by the time we get our dollop here as its a 5 mile trip each way to the yard & no 4 wheel drive, just my little car :(
 
They said that East Anglia was supposed to get some last night too and nowt, not a single flake. Not that I am complaining as it was a lovely crisp morning and no mud!!

with difficulty, damn stuff, supposed to be out to morrow but cant see getting the hounds off the yard- sod it.
 
Nothing in my part of Berks yet, lovely cold frosty morning though - brilliant moonlight so I could actually see to turn out!! :D I love the snow, but collecting a new rescue dog tomorrow so hoping it holds off til we get back.
 
Pffffttt OH just rang me, he`s gone up yard early because the horses have jumped out, police have shut off the road near to farm... OH said it`s nowhere near as bad as last year and it wasnt shut then!!! Was quite looking forward to skidding everywhere too :(
 
Woke up to even more today! Got about 10 inches now and more forecast. (Northumberland). Went shopping this afternoon and the supermarket was heaving - people looked to be getting ready for a siege!!

My landrover died two weeks ago so I am skidding around the place in a corsair!!! Not funny!
 
Starting to go from coastal West Wales, but I couldn't take the lorry to the garage and I couldn't ride. Horses are happy enough even the out 24/7 broodmare who's eaten nearly a bale of hay in under 24 hours. It was meant to last, she's only 15 hands!
 
Snowing quite heavily here - outskirts of Devizes Wiltshire, wanted to ride tomorrow lets hope it doesn't freeze over night, oh wait a minute, yes it is due to freeze........ar*s
 
We've had snow here too and the main roads have been impassible. Great supposed to be seeing a horse tomorrow, dont think thats going ahead now unless it thaws pretty quickly. Its fine where Im going not sure what to do now.
 
Weather forecasters almost spot on here, they said heavy snow 9am and light snow 12pm and that's exactly what it was. I do hate snow though. I think the settled stuff will freeze tonight and become a death trap!
