Lightweight (100g or under) turnout in 5'3/5'6...

Hi there,

Can anyone recommend a good quality turnout rug that is maximum 100g filling or under? As the weather is getting milder I was sorting out my neds spring wardrobe :rolleyes: And I seem to have lost/misplaced my mares lightweight outdoor rugs when I moved yards :confused: And I can only find her ultra lightweights (no filling)

It would need to come in a 5'3 and 5'6 (she is a bit in between the two depending on rug make so need to try both) and shoulder pleats are preferred.

I can only really find cheap unknown rug brands which I dont want to risk. Weatherbeeta would be ideal as I know they fit her well but they dont seem to do a lightweight rug with filling only without?

Any ideas/recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks so much for the suggestions! I dontk now why but those rugs didnt seem to crop up on my searches :confused:

I thought the W/B Landa was 220g filling but its seems they also do a 100g one aswell.

I have some of the JHL rugs and they fit very nicely- their l/w might be too light though for you?!

I also have some Bucas Smartex T/o's and they are light yet warm enough and nice for the spring- I purchased my little youngsters 5ft3 one from Tosca rugs (If you google) and it was a really good price as it was reduced!

Arrghhh I was ideally looking for an outdoor with just a fleece lining and couldnt find one for love nor money and now sods law.....I see that the Smartex rain has fleece lining! but I have just 10 minutes ago placed an order for a Weatherbeeta Landa Light :mad:

Oh well I think I will order one anyway and see which of the two fits better :)

Oh that's annoying- the sort of thing that happens to me!- maybe you could order 2 and see which fits the best and then send one back if you didn't want 2 rugs! hope your mare likes her new outfit!
