Lightweight leather dressage saddle please

Hi all,
Thought I would just have an ask on here...

I am looking to update my dressage saddle...which is quite heavy, and I was wondering which leather saddles are out there with lightweight trees?

I have tried synthetic saddles but find the plastic tree 'flexes' which sometimes causes instability...so was looking at leather versions without plastic trees. Any ideas?

I am very aware that my saddle is adding extra weight to my horse.

I would only worry about the weight of the saddle if you are right at the limit of what your horse can carry. An optimum fit is so much more important, peak pressures under an ill fitting saddle will be much higher than under a heavier well fitting saddle.

The flexee is a leather tree so that might be an option or the vogue which has a rigid cantle and layers of memory foam throughout

Thanks for this.....but when I struggle to lift the saddle on to my horse because it is so heavy...then there is my weight....I am a lightweight..but fully booted n suited I am adding lbs....I begin to wonder?

If you are struggling to lift it onto a tall horse then that may be the pertinent issue. Try and work out the total weight of you and all your kit and then do the % calculation.
