I have, for many years brought a particular make, as I like the fit and fastenings. Well the cavalier is leaking again even though reproofed 3 times.

What is a good fit nice make good fastenings (not straps) light weight no fill in any way but light for my boy to wear. I did buy the Tasker turnout 40g but it has fill in it, its muggy and just want like a mac in a sac type rain sheet with a neck, as I brought a Masta (which I don't generally like) which has no neck.

No Rambo
Weatherbeeta
types as I don't like the fitting of them and they are heavy material

any ideas welcome
Oh yes this is the type of fastening I like

I bought a Shires one about three years ago as a stopgap.

It was so good, I bought another one :) They're the only rugs my horse wears - he's hardy, but sometimes when the rain is lashing down, he needs a break from the weather. They have never leaked, even in Scottish winter rain.

I have this one:

Excuse my pony walking around with a sweede in his mouth... Its a requisite one from Robinsons. I got it as a cheap "it will do" thing, it's actually lasted me 2 years so far without needing to be reproofed and is very light, so perfect for rainy days where it's quite warm and I want to ride in the evening! I will say if you get one from there though that the netting lining on windy days tends to rip! I just cut it out, apart from around his shoulders and up the neck and it's been fine. If you can deal with patterns that make your eyes go funny, they're great for cheap lightweights that last!

Thanx everyone, a trip down to Robinsons saw me end up with the Amigo. Tried it on, it fits better than the Rambo, only thing is now its too warm to wear it lol.

Took a picture of him in it as once he wears it in and out it will be covered in poo stains and mud .

Why is it a trip to Robinsons ALWAYS ends up with me spending more money than I meant too and an empty wallet

Well its not so much as a *pop* it takes just over an hour, but longer yesterday as I had a blonde minute and started to fill my tank at garage and then thought *fr*ing h*ll.. I had started to fill tank with unleaded instead of diesel ( 2 cups worth) so quickly stopped and put diesel, but then light came on which is warning engine fault and we had to drive less than 40mph the whole way so it took 1 hr 45 minutes, luckly light went out on way home.
