The are very expensive but I have never had a better waterproof coat than my ri-dry and they do them in hi-vis now too!! here - https://ri-dryclothing.co.uk/collections/ladies/products/ladies-hi-vis-lanacre-coat

As hi-vis tends to degrade quickly in terms of brightness etc this isn't really a cost I would want to pay tbh - I think @Tiddlypom is right - if you have bright sleeves, something hi vis on your helmet and hi vis on the horse that does the job.

For a cheap but longer jacket I thought this one looked good: https://hugheshs.co.uk/product/two-tone-long-coat/

In fact, I might buy one lol!!

Tabards/vests don't show up very well from the front when the horse raises its head and blocks them out.

Even just a yellow polo shirt like I'm wearing under my air jacket in my avatar shows up better all round than a tabard.

This is a Horseware waterproof jacket under my air jacket, it does show up.

Thank you both
This is similar to my old jacket

I probably look almost the same as your photo, Tiddlypom.
The ri-dry looks ideal, although expensive as you say palo1, but it has a fleece lining. Ideally I would like a mesh lining so I can layer warmer clothes if necessary.

I googled 3/4 hi vis jacket and found this. Lots of good specifications and not a frightening price.
I am tempted.

I checked the codes and if I have got it right they are the highest for visibility, breathable-ness (? ) and waterproofing
I have this, in the orange too. Shop around, they can come in cheaper (my last one was £25 inc delivery)
Yes its brilliant for keeping rain out, BUT - no side zips or poppers nr hips, so you can get wet off the bottom of it as water runs off.
As I never set out in drenching stuff (drizzle maybe) I've not got that wet, tho once came back with sodden thighs.

I have a feeling that the old jacket will be cannibalised. I could use it as pleats in the back or side seams of the new one. Under the aj it would cover the cantle and I’m not fussy about perfection.

After much searching and pondering about how much to spend although I was seriously tempted by the Ri-dry I bought this.

I will have to put pleats or zips in the back but it seems to fulfil all the other needs. Awaiting delivery with fingers crossed.

I will be interested to see how you like this option as I have been eyeing it up in orange! :) It looks good and should do a very similar job to the eye watering Ri-dry. I love my old Ri-dry but not sure I would spend that much on a hi vis one lol.

Update
I ordered a yellow jacket from Wilson Workwear. They accepted the order and took the payment. The following day they refunded my money, item out of stock.

I ordered the orange jacket from Wilson Workwear. They accepted my order and then cancelled and refunded as before.

Why is it not possible to keep stock updated on a website?

I ordered the orange jacket on Sunday evening from

https://aldeagroupuk.com/product/la..._pa_size=14&attribute_pa_colour=hi-vis-orange

It was a little more expensive. It arrived today at 2pm.

Mine is large. I am 5’2”” and 38” ish. It fits fine with room for a sweater underneath. If you need more for winter I would size up.
I expect I will add pleats at the back to help it sit over the cantle.

Thanks for this update - how frustrating though!!

I wear hi vis lightweight cycling jackets, usually bought when Aldi have their cycling special on. They don't stay fully waterproof forever but I usually get a couple of years out of them which I'm happy about. I do make sure I get ones that have side pockets I as well as the back pocket as the back pocket doesn't work well with riding!

Yes I have had an Aldi cycle one for quite a while but was fed up having a wet behind as I always end up sitting on the elastic. It has lost it’s waterproofing too hence my search.
I will try and remember to update after I have used the B-Seen jacket in bad weather.

I use these, I have the pink, orange and green, lightweight and have so far been waterproof in light showers, longer at the back so don't ride up and are cheap enough if they only last a couple of years.

Does it have pockets and can your phone fit in them.
the details are a bit vague on what tire of pockets there are.
other than that, they are currently a great price and I may get the orange one.
