I put Badminton Fibre Nuggets in my decahedron. They're a hay replacer so you wouldn't be feeding extra feed & they're quite chunky so it takes a bit of work to get them out of the hole. A 20kg sack costs £8 and lasts ages

so how do i feed them and so no hay?

No, you feed hay as well. They're just very high in fibre and can be used to replace hay if used in quite large quantities. I feed the same amount of hay I would normally and put one or two scoops of the nuggets into the ball. My horse loves them and the size of them means they don't just drop out of the ball easily like pony nuts would so the entertainment lasts longer!

You can also feed the badminton fibre nuggets as treats, that's what I used to do, much cheaper than buying herbal treats etc

and also you know them balls ? do i have to put pony nuts in or can i put in her normal 'mix' that she has?

The holes that the nuts come out of are "nut" shaped if you get my drift. I don't think the bigger pieces of mix will come out....I had a TB on box rest for 6 months with a fractured radius, so I know how hard it is to keep them occupied! x

Yep, they're fab; healthy, tasty and cheap. I use them for doing carrot stretches, he always reaches much further for them than he does for carrots!

Hi again. Sorry, I am being a bit thick here - half a bottle of red wine and I'm a bit too relaxed! No you can put anything in them. I have a red one with a yellow top. You put the treats in the yellow end, put the lid back on and then the treats come out at the opposite end which is a smaller hole - they don't all come out at once, just a few and then they kick it round a bit more and chase it round til more come out.. They don't tend to come out of the smaller holes . I only used nuts because they made a really good noise which kept him occupied and were probably the least heating feed items I had to hand at the time! x

Make some holes through carrots, apples, swedes, parsnips etc and hang them from the ceiling of your stable. The further from the wall the better - Blackjack was good at pinning them against walls and eating them in about 30 seconds!
