I'm currently giving my mare Feedmarks Hardy Hoof formula. But I'm contemplating changing to Limestone Flour and Seaweed.

Who still uses the old fashioned Limestone Flour and Seaweed?

Has it made a difference to your horses feet or anything else?

I find that these suppliments like FF actually only work for about 20% of the horses that use it.. Same with alot of suppliments on the market. So I always go for the cheaper option.
I use Limestone for my TB mares feet to keep them from softening and crumbling, and she has great feet. In 18 months she has lost a shoe twice and has never had any foot related problems or lameness.

I've just made the decision, going back to the old fashioned and much cheaper route. I've bought almost a years supply of limestone flour and seaweed from Hilton Herbs for less than £30 including delivery! Thats one 12th of the cost of Farriers Formula for the year!
