My horse is in a field with another but whereas my girl goes out in all weathers, the other horse doesn't so sadly she is alone quite alot although there are other horses over the fence that are always out too. For quite a long time over the winter I would call her in and she would walk up the field then look to the right where the hedgerows are, nod a few times and then continue on up to me. I wondered for a long time what it was she was doing-I felt it was almost like she was saying goodbye to something for the night. Any way since the nicer weather came in march I realised a phesant was in her field a lot and it was around her a lot. We have loads of phesants wondering around and I did wonder if it was the same one. Well, this dear old phesant has now got a poorly leg ( I've named him limp along lesley) so I definately know it's the same one. I was a bit concerned when I went up this morning and the phesant wasn't around and Bella was particular down and jumping at every movement. I'm thinking that the phesant has been had and poor Bella is grieving. I will have a look around for it later tonight when I go tonight but just thought it was really sad. Anyone else horse's made friends with aimals other than horses.
