My dog doesn't usually go out on mega long walks but yesterday OH took on a 6 mile hike up and down steep terrain. Last night Inoticed she was limping, I have checked her pad but cannot see anything protruding.
Do you think she has pulled a tendon or muscle?

How old is she? Might not be such a good idea to suddenly increase exercise!! I know I ache if I suddenly do too much (doesn't happen often)!! If it hasn't improved after a couple of days I would pop her to the nice vet man. Could turn out to be an expensive hike. Get OH to pay lol!

She's only 5, she runs around when I'm up with horses. Suppose she has done something then, will keep an eye.
Thankyou OH wouldn't be pleased as not insured lol

she could have what out old JRT had. her hip bone was still growing (or something like that) so that obviously made her limp.

don't want to worry you, but it may be worth checking it out if she is still liimping

She's had a couple of days rest now and all seems fine.
Think the extra long walk was too much for her.
