Not to sure why im writing a report as it wasn't a great weekend.
I had Biscuit in the PN on Friday he did what we thought was his best test this year but we must have been wrong as we ended up with a score of 38 and about midway through the section, so not great. Showjumping was up to height and a nice course but it wasn't our day and tapped 3, jst haven;t done enough rounds on him. So now it's lots of shojumping rounds till our next event, o the joys lol. XC he flew round, we did take the long route at the corner but still ended up 37seconds under the time and he was taking me into jumps more, so that was an improvement.

Onto Finn, he was in the OIU21 did a rlly nice test to be equal 2nd after that so was rather pleased with him. The worst possible thing happened over night though and rain fail constantly, bascially Finn isn't a great SJ and he is even worse when ground is wet, give him concrete and he trys but wet is a no go. Anyway that didn't go too well either. Onto XC nice course, long and a good test i thought, specially the water. Anyway he flew round up until dozey rider thought it was plain sailing all the way home and completly screwed up a jump and he just skipped out the side. this horse never stops, runs out etc unless rider has been a complete numpty. Eased off the speed after this and was still only 25 seconds over, so i'm very impressed with him.
Very annoyingly even with the awful SJ there is still a chance i could have been placed if i hadn't sat there like a lemon at that jump and incurred the 20 penalties.

Sorry for the long report. Well done if you got this far

Doesnt sound like a too bad weekend.
Think you did remarkably well considering the terrible weather today.
Onwards and upwards, it wont be long till we're moaning about the hard ground

Where to next??

Id be very pleased with Biscuits xc, that was a very meaty PN and with the weather etc did well to produce a good dressage, if you felt he did his best test this year then sod what the scores say, if its an improvement then its a positive!

And the same for your other pone, sounds like there's plenty of positives to take away from it. You can't win them all so we have to settle for the small improvements sometimes.
Well done you I say !

That is true.

I'm at Burnham Market with Finn in CIC** and Biscuit in another PN.
Lots and lots of showjumping practice in between!
