Hello and welcome to Lincs!

Vets - I use Tower Equine (based at Bourne). They do free call outs on Mondays in certain areas- you might be covered. Useful for injections etc.

Farrier- I use John Heald, again from Bourne. Excellent, reliable and reasonably priced.

Saddler- I use T&C Robinson from Billinghay. Always good service.

General horsey stuff- Chandlers at Belton.

Hi and welcome to lincs!!

Vets I use Oakham vets
Farrier I use John Heald
Chandlers at Belton would be closer to you, I use a few equestrian shops near Stamford.
Saddler I use Mark Bushell from near Caythorpe
Teeth I use Tom Philips
Physio I use Emily Graham

Hi welcome to the county 😊

Vet - Tower Equine - free call out on certain days of the week
Farrier - John Heald - very good and comes out quickly for lost shoes, etc
Dentist - James Arkley - fabulous and is very patient

I know I shouldn't but for anyone who competes in dressage I have a charity dressage competition in aid of Age UK running in July near Spalding, PM me for more details 😊

Welcome to Lincolnshire cant help much as up north of the county. Oakham are the best vets we use them although they are a long way from here. Just wanted to let you know we lincolnshire folk are friendly

Hi,

I don't have a horse at the moment but used to use The Avenue Veterinary Practice - they are based in Grantham and Bottesford.

Teeth - I used Amanda Sharman

As others have said, Chandlers is good for feed and horsey bits and bobs. There's also Mole in Newark.

And Mark Bushell is a local saddler. He made a bridle for me about 20 years ago and it's still in fab condition.

Farrier - I used Mr Spence (sorry can't remember his first name) and his apprentices. He's from Melton Mowbray area but does quite a lot out this way.

Welcome ,I'm near Grantham. You have Chandlers at Belton for feed ,bedding ,rugs etc and Mole at Newark. Vets Till Hoermann who is mobile is excellent. I use Mark Watson as farrier ,Martin Brookes dentist and at Fulbeck there is a master saddler Mark Bushell. Fair few equestrian competition centres nearby including Arena uk.

Thank you for the warm welcome everyone this county and it's people certainly does seem lovely :D

May go for tower equine seeing as they may do free call outs on certain days as my girl will need her vaccinations and I don't currently have a trailer to transport her to anywhere. Are Oakham quite pricey? Just had a look at their website it looks very state of the art!

John Heald seems like the most recommended for the farrier is it possible one of you could message me his number please?

If James Arkley is patient then I will probably go for him as she probably won't be the easiest to see too have any of you got a number for him too please? :)

Shouldn't be needing a saddler just yet but will keep all your recommendations in mind and for physio i'll have a look at the couple you suggested.

I did go to chandlers yesterday as spotted it on the way in to Grantham town, it's lovely in there and much bigger than I first thought! Sounds like there is quite a lot of competition opportunities too which is good to know.

Thanks again guys you've been a massive help feel so much better about it all, it's hard moving to a new area and not knowing whats what but you've certainly made me feel welcome :D
