Hi, does anyone live near Freiston in Lincolnshire?
If so could you tell me what hacking is like around there.
Any info would be great.

To look up paths I often use Google Earth.
Tap in the start location and look around, you can also 'walk' the routes of interest on the map.
 
I'm fairly local at Old Leake. The hacking round here is not too bad but is all road work there is really nothing at all off road in this part of the fens. The lanes are fairly quiet (although obviously alot of farm traffic) and there is a good network of them so scope for different length circular routes. On the whole the drivers are courteous and as you can see for miles you usually have time to get yourself off the road into a gateway or something. There are plenty of pleasure rides within and hour or so's drive and the beach is 40 mins. However if you want off road hacking you need to be in the wolds around Horncastle towards Louth and Lincoln and there are some good areas between Sleaford and Grantham which also have better transport links but obviously house prices are higher. Also Boston is a nightmare for traffic and can take up to an hour to get across once you are through Boston you can be lots of places quite quickly! I love it here and is very quaint but is a bit the back of beyond so wouldn't suit everyone.
