Lincs meet up!

I wouldn't imagine it will be that busy so we should see what's what (or who's who)

Or maybe we should wear a red carnation and carry a copy of The Times ;)

I might come! Rather than the Times we should all have a copy of Horse and Hound under our arm!

I would recognise two of you then. Not sure that many lincs HHO'ers know about this meet up - this is the first time I've wondered in to the East Midlands room, and I'm going to stay a little longer now to catch up.

If I still lived in Lincoln I would come, but I don't, so I can't :(. With all the Dambuster events today I feel quite emotional...and home sick!

Awww...I have to say, with the Lancaster zipping about the skies the last few days it's been quite awesome! OH has got some cracking pics, and I raced home from school today to get a decent spot to see the bomber go over the Cathedral. :D

My claim to fame is this...my OH is quite a few years older than me and his dad was a fireman at RAF Scampton during the war, and was Guy Gibson's drinking buddy! MIL told me some cracking stories before she died, and of course had met Guy on the odd occasion...

She lived in Navenby then, and said when the Lancasters took off from Waddington, they were so heavy with bombs, they came over really low and the roar was deafening....

I miss her stories... :(

Fab - has anyone come up with a genius way of being recognised without being to obvious. I can do obvious if you like - but not sure the locals would appreciate it. :D

The owners of the Dovecote hunt with us regularly and actually did a meet earlier this year so not sure they would bat an eyelid if you walked in with your riding hat on to be honest!

See you all there :D
