Do you know what I think is so nice about that test, the horse actually looks like it's enjoying it's self.

Couldn't agree more. What a stunning partnership they have. I had a few tears in my eyes watching that. Well done Laura and well done team GB.
 
I'm far from being an expert at dressage, but noticed a lot of swishy tails during other tests - Laura's horse looked relaxed, tail swinging, his ears were either on her, or floppy, and the final passage/piaffe to Land of Hope and Glory makes the hairs stand on end!!! Fantastic!!!
 
It was a fab test and Laura must be over the moon, along with the rest of Team GB in Kentucky. Alf looks relaxed all the way through and as pleased as punch with himself at the end!
On a slightly different note, it must be rather quite upsetting and deflating for the riders and team of workers out there that there isn't much recognition for them back home. I watched both BBC and (cacky) Daybreak this morning and saw sports news reports, not one single mention :(
Although, they know they can always look on here :)

it was an absolutely beautiful test that moved me to tears and gave me goosebumps all over!
 
All I can find is the news item but no film of the test. Where is it? Possibly can't get it because BBC don't let us ex-pats access quite a lot of stuff.

Agree, the horse looks as if he is very clam, relaxed and enjoying the test. i like the way Laura trains, she is virtually gadget free and really allows the horse into themselves rather than through force. I also like how she takes her time to produce them rather then rush them through.

hmm.. anyone else think the commentator didn't sound particularly hopeful of Laura getting over 79% to start with, then his amazement with 2 x 9's.. changed his tune by the end!

The Land of hope and glory - what a finish and yes it made me tearful too..what a FANTASTIC effort!

Luckily have no sound in the office as Land of H & G would reduce me to a blubbering wreck. Listen to it at home tonight!
 
brilliant test and well done to the pair of them and also the whole GB team!

there was a mention on bbc this morning about them getting team silver so that was a refreshing change but they quickly went on about football again!
 
What a fantastic partnership they have and an outstanding test, it moved me to tears!
I wish our riders would get more of an recognition especially when they have brought home a silver medal!

Wow that was incredible. When they started playing land of hope and glory at the end...definate tears in eyes moment! They both made that look so easy.
