Which is better for horses? Will oil be absorbed more easily?

Looking to feed linseed for joint lubrication as Ive been told that it will help.

I'm not sure the oil is as good as the micronised form. The latter is a whole food rather than cold pressed oil which has additives added.

Also, some horses don't tolerate oils as well as others. Could just pass straight through... do a search on here on linseed and you will find a great resource on it... only the other day someone posted a good link about it.

I feed the micronised version. About half a cup is enough for mine but others feed a mugful.

i'm just swapping from oil to cooked linseed - for finances ;) Big bag of equimins cooked linseed is £25ish and will last me far longer than the oil.
i've heard the micronised/cooked is better for obsorbtion - but i've not ressearched into it enough to know if that;s just hear-say or not.

pssssst....... oil n the linseed may be good for general joint health however.... if you have established erosion, what you really need is Glucosamine, MSM & HLA. It's been proven time and time again for humans, dogs, cats, horses, bats, rats, mice, monkeys............. gnats? I dunno but linseed ain't a miracle product.
