does anyone use the linseed seeds, how long do you soak and cook for, was told soak over night then boil for20-30 mins till it turns to jelly, any one else use it?

I use it once a week. I do just that, soak a couple of mugs full over night and then bring to the boil and let it simmer for about 30 - 40 minutes until it thickens up.

My horse loves it and has taken to licking the saucepan clean as well as long as I havent left it too long without stirring and let it burn to the bottom!

i did it last year and it was great. this year i've gone for the instant linseed and the result has been just as good but without the time boiling etc (and i distroyed a pan too!)

I use the instant stuff - Chancer has it for condition and show coat and Cairo for his joints.

I feed it every day - Cairo has a small mug twice a day all year round, Chancer has the same from January to September and then 1 mug for the winter.

My horse has always had a really good coat and I'm always getting comments about it so I can't say I noticed a huge difference. I would say that feeding the whole grain rather than just the oil is better though, that way you get the goodness from the whole grain rather than just the oil itself.
