I have been looking at putting my horse on a linseed supplement, and was wondering if anyone uses Charnwood Milling Micronized Full Fat Linseed Meal. If you do feed linseed, what reason do you feed it, do you find it to be beneficial for your horse, and do you have any problem getting your horse to eat it - my horse can be a very fussy eater.

Hiya

I get my Micronized whole Linseed (Linshine) from Ferrari Horse Feeds who stock Charnwood Mill feeds. I feed 1 cup per feed and it's cracking stuff. I have a grey horse and it's even put a shine on his coat

. It's the cheapest place i've found to buy it from too.

I fed Naf linseed to my horse. I believe some types of Linseed need to be boiled before feeding.

I fed it to my horse to help his skin, joints and digestion. Unfortunately, it gave him the runs

I feed the Equus ready cooked linseed for condition and coat. It is really good. I also feed linseed lozenges, which they love as well.

No trouble feeding it - but mine arent fussy eaters.

all of mine love it - and I use the Charnwood mill micronized linseed. it is great for condition and shine. I use it with all my horses from my yearling up to my old one. They all look great, good weight, shine to their coats and for my old arthritic boy he seems looser on it. My dogs love it as do my chickens - so I can't see your horse not liking it.

Only been using it about 3 weeks so bit early to tell but seems good valu for money. At a mug full per feed less expensive and messy than oil, got Omega 3,6 and 9 too which are good for joints.
